Off-peak Day returns
From Sunday 5th April there will be a fares and ticket revision affecting fares across the Stagecoach in Perth
network. Overall fares will increase by approximately 2% although many will remain the same.
Our fares revision follows an annual review and is broadly in line with increasing staff costs resulting from
growth in the economy. Bus operator costs across Scotland are rising faster than the income generated
from people using the bus. There has been a real-terms cut to the reimbursement paid to bus operators
under the Scottish Government’s free concessionary bus travel scheme. As always, we’ve tried to keep
costs as low as possible for regular travellers with our range of great value megarider tickets and we’ve
introduced new zones for Perth offering extended travel options, details are on the following pages.
Off-peak day returns are valid between 0930 and 1630 Mondays to Fridays, anytime at weekends or public
holidays. Family day return tickets allow up to 2 children under the age of 16 to travel with one adult.

main Perth City fares of £1.10 and £1.70 will remain the same this year, along with the majority of other
fares less than £2.
Multi journey tickets
Stagecoach in Perth child fares will change in line with the adult fares and are generally half the adult fare
rounded up to the nearest 5p.
10 single journeys for the price of 8, available on most Stagecoach Strathtay and Stagecoach in Perth services.
Buy from the driver and use anytime within 28 days.

This year we’ve created new zones around Perth city centre, which means there are now 3 Perth zones,
Zone 1 is based on the current city area, new zone 2 covers many villages just outside of the city and new
zone 3 covers travel as far as Errol, Abernethy and Dunning. A map showing the new zones is overleaf.

Return fares are based on the adult single fares above and are available for the majority of journeys.
Return fares generally offer a saving of around 10% on the price of two single fares and are valid at all times.
Day return fares are also offered for certain journeys, providing even greater savings.
