MISSION
CLASSIC
In the center of Hershey – a place best known for
satisfying cravings for chocolate – you’ll find a place
that alleviates a deeper hunger: the Hershey Food
Bank and Community Outreach. While the tourists
come and go and fill their stomachs with sweet treats,
this indispensable institution works quietly behind the
scenes to provide nourishing food for our friends
and neighbors in need.
Don’t let the rich smell
of chocolate deceive you
into thinking the need is
not great. Over the past few years, the Food Bank has
seen an increase in need. In 2014 alone, more than
1,050 people per month were helped with an average
of over 23,000 pounds of food each month.

You can make a difference by participating in the
Seventh Annual Mission Classic. All funds raised
will benefit our hungry neighbors who rely on the
Hershey Food Bank and Community Outreach. Please
help us raise even more than the $4,000 we raised
last year. To put it in perspective, this allowed the
Food Bank to purchase over 11 tons of food. This year,
will you help us raise even more?
2015 Mission Classic
Eligible families can use the Food Bank twice a month.
The Food Bank also provides assistance with rent
and utilities on a emergency basis. It receives no
government assistance. The Hershey Food Bank is an
all-volunteer organization and all funds received are
used to assist clients or maintain the facility.
