Hershey Free Church Weekly Prayer List – Sunday, April 26, 2015 Please forward prayer requests and updates to Craig Koskela: [email protected] or 533-2092, ext. 2028 Please forward Missions prayer requests to Lyndsay Byler: [email protected] or 533-2092, ext. 2008 MISSIONS Rick and Clare, Southeast Asia Rick and Clare serve faithfully in a complex cultural and religious group. Relationships provide opportunities to share Christ and to touch the hearts of people in these groups. Rick and Clare network believers for fellowship, contextual worship and music, training in evangelism, Bible study and to grow in spiritual transformation. Clare ministers through prayer and friendship evangelism. Please pray for the continuation of relationships and for deeper relationships with people in their community. Harry & Eileen Bettig, The Netherlands Harry serves as director of the Media Services Department for Trans World Radio Europe, which also includes the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. All administrative activities and information for these areas are directed through this department so that TWR cooperating broadcasters, national partners and various language departments are properly served in their broadcast, programming and production needs. Eileen serves as the office manager for their location in the Netherlands, copy editor for the regional magazine and as a support-raising coach and trainer. Please pray… For new colleagues as they are desperately needed in their region – especially in these departments: finance, IT, Central Asia (office located in Germany), Media Services (Harry’s department). Bureaucratically-speaking (residency, work permits, etc.), it would be optimal if they came from Europe. For an infusion of new energy, commitment and leadership into their Life Group. For Eileen: prioritization and good progress in writing Dad Bettig’s memoir. Each week Harry has deadlines for a variety of tasks, reports or meetings. Pray that he has good mental energy to do his work and that he uses his time as efficiently as possible. Paul & Cheryl, Asia Paul and Cheryl They have developed three models for business. Paul is a Chairman who oversees and participates in the ministry of the Healthy Foundations team, bringing the power of Christ to centers of influence in areas such as: healthcare, education, business, family and The Church. A family practice provides opportunity for Cheryl to teach at the local university, to practice medicine and to provide care in a local leprosy village. Cheryl is also a Medical Ministry Program Director and she oversees and participates in the healthcare ministry of the team. Please pray for their ministry and for the seeds that are being planted through their healthcare programs. Please pray for the many seniors in their care to hear and believe Christ and his words. Dale & Florence Johnson, Burkina Faso Dale and Florence became part of the Hershey Free international ministry in 2006 through the Consortium of local Free Churches. Previously, Dale served as the Director of the Center for the Advancement of the Handicapped where he provided training and oversight for 30 employees. Florence managed the station employees, the guest house, and provided orientation for short-term teams. In May 2014, Dale and Florence arrived in Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso. Dale now serves as the “Support Services Manager” on the administrative team serving SIM missionaries and projects. Florence is a “Short-term Missionary and Team Coordinator;” she provides orientation and debriefing for short-term missionaries and teams. Please pray for their ministry and for the teams that arrive. May they be light and salt in their area of service and in their work. Dave & Denise Love, Texas The Loves have been part of our mission family since 2000. After eight years of ministry in Bogotá, Colombia, the political violence forced them to leave in 2002. Dave is the Academic Dean at RGBI and recently the institute received a 10-year reaccreditation from the American Bible College of Higher Education. Students from 18 countries receive scholarships to prepare or ministry in their home countries. In the last year they have seen the Lord open doors for Latino students to minister in Muslim countries because of similarity in culture. Please pray for their ministry, for the school and for the students as they prepare for ministry around the globe.
