HABITAT FOR HUMANITY Volume 3, Issue 4 April 2015 Sponsor Salute UPDATE The Augusta Board of Realtors® was founded in 1914 by a group of Real Estate Brokers in an attempt to facilitate good relationships between brokers and the public which they served. The foundation of the association was the adoption of a code of ethics that promoted the standards of the golden rule - "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." To a great extent the necessity of the board of Realtors® was to promote ethical conduct in the absence of any state licensing laws or agencies. GAAR has roughly 1100 members in Augusta and surrounding area including North Augusta. Their primary mission is to promote legislative action that will benefit buyers, sellers and real estate agencies throughout the community. However, they also are charged with monitoring and policing the ethical standards within their own industry. Habitat for Humanity of North Augusta continues to progress on house number 16. To date, the exterior work is near complete and an electrical ditch was completed ready for the main power install. On March 21 the dry wall was completed by the able volunteer crew pictured below. Most of this work team were from Ft. Gordon some of which departed before the photo was taken.
