Hi-Country Estates Phase I Homeowners
Fire clean up and chipper day Monday June 1, 2015
The BLM, DNR and UFA have again generously offered to help us with fire
management of our properties. Keeping in mind our protective covenants and
UFA recommendations allowing our properties to be accessible and defendable
for emergency vehicles and crew in the event of a fire. Those homeowners
wishing to participate should consider the following:
Please place your pile(s) at the curbside for ease of visibility and accessibility.
Combine with your neighbors if at all possible and on the same side of street.
*REMOVAL: Any trunk smaller than 6” in diameter of evergreen, up to 25% of
scrub oak, and anything already dead.
*TRIM: 4 feet from the ground. This will also help the overall heath of the trees.
The chippers and personnel will be provided by the agencies.
The chips will be left on your property near the pile to be chipped.
Construction materials and large trunks will be left on the property.
Please keep animals, pets and children away from site while being worked on.
The B O D has agreed on special considerations for this voluntary community
project and will wave the usual requirement for written notice from each
homeowner to the Architectural Control Committee providing the guidelines and
recommendations are followed.
Additional dumpster will be provided for trash and yard waste May 18 – June 8.
NO TIRES, BATTERIES, CHEMICALS OR CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS!
Failure to comply will be considered vandalism and will be treated as such.
***Keeping track of the hours spent on this project can result in grant money for
our community. Visit http://goo.gl/forms/94pny20S0V to log your hours.
