On our Birding & Natural History Tour you can experience the outdoors by a Guided
(combined) Driving, Walking Tour. Your Adventure will take place in the State Parks
&/or on different Ranches & Private properties not open to the general public. Depending
on what Birds you want to see we will take you to the crystal clear Frio, Nueces or
Sabinal River Canyons and miles of beautiful rugged Hill Country.
With our Entertaining & Educational Natural History/ Birding Tour you will learn
about some Geology of the Edwards Plateau, Native Peoples, Medicinal & Edible
Plants, Wildflowers, Grasses, Birds, Butterflies, Insects, Animals & more.
Have your camera & binoculars ready for your guided Tour. Where you can catch a
glimpse of some of the many wonderful Specialty Birds & Butterfly found in our area.
Plus White-tail deer, Axis deer, lizards & many other critters.
3 to 5 Hour Tour:
$25.00 per person or $20.00 per person for Groups of 10 or more
With a $100.00 minimum - on Dates Not Already Scheduled

8 to 10 Hour All Day Tour:
$38.00 per person or $33.00 per person for Groups of 10 or more
With a $152.00 minimum - on Dates Not Already Scheduled

Meet your guide at our Nature Center, Directions as follows:
It will take about 5 min. from Garner State Park, 15 min. from Neal’s Store in Concan,
15 min. from Utopia, 15 min. from Leakey, 40 min. from Uvalde.
From Hwy 83 & FM 1050 intersection; Go East on to FM 1050 which goes to Garner State Park &
Utopia, go 5 miles on FM 1050, Don’t go past Blanket Creek sign on right, our signs are on left say –
Rio Frio Lodging & Hill Country Adventure Tours; come in & park in parking area.
From Utopia & 187; at south end of Utopia, go West on FM 1050 toward Garner Park, go 10 miles,
from Blanket Creek it’s the 3rd entrance on right, signs say –
Rio Frio Lodging & Hill Country Adventure Tours.
*Guide will meet you in Office or on Porch. If you have room in your car he/ or she can ride with
you. This cuts down on our liability & we can talk to you & point out birds or interesting sites.
