HILLCREST HAPPENINGS Embrace Civility Terry McVey, Principal Peter Schmidt, Assistant Principal Denise Kelley, Assistant Principal Mr. Michael Thorne, principal of Catonsville Middle School, has invited the parents of all 5th graders who are to attend CMS to the Grade 5 Parent Information Night on Wednesday, May 6, in the CMS gymnasium. Since we will have already taken the children to the middle school at the end of April, the parent night is for parents only. This is your opportunity to tour the building, to learn about the similarities and differences between elementary and middle school, and to ask any questions you might have. You will meet the administrative team, counseling department chairperson, school nurse, 6th grade dean, PTSA president, and student service-learning coordinator. The doors will open at 6:30 pm, and until 6:50 p.m., members of the CMS National Junior Honor Society will be standing by to take you on a guided tour of the school. At 7 pm, the main program will begin in the gymnasium. Typically, the program lasts for approximately 75 minutes. So please mark your calendar for the CMS Grade 5 Parent Information Night on Wednesday, May 6. Catonsville Middle School is located at 2301 Edmondson Avenue between the Old Frederick Road traffic circle and the Trolley Trail to Ellicott City.
