Dear Hindley Families,
The Hindley Happening is almost here!!! Our committee has been extremely
hard at work and we are ready for another wildly successful day. In the gym, be
sure to visit the Hindley Auction. You do not want to miss out on many incredible
auction items! Get your bids in!!! In addition to all your favorite rides, we have
our popular and exciting “Try Your Luck” games and activity booths (hairspray
and face painting). NEW THIS YEAR - In our Games area, have fun capturing a
Hindley Happening memory at our Photo Booth and creating something special
at the Sand Art Table. Then, when you've worked up an appetite, head over to
the food tent for a slice of pizza or a freshly grilled hamburger or hotdog. Finally,
your sweet tooth is sure to be satisfied with our bake sale and donut decorating
booth!

HINDLEY HAPPENING T-SHIRTS
The very stylish 2015 Hindley Happening T-shirt will be distributed in students’
backpacks by Wednesday May 6th for those that ordered a t-shirt. As a reminder,
t-shirt sales were pre-ordered only. Have your t-shirt ready to wear on School
Sprit Day, Friday May 8th!

TICKET SALES
Discounted Ride tickets and Game tickets will be on sale before and after school
on Thursday and Friday, May 7th & May 8th, from 7:45 – 8:30 am and from 2:30 –
3:15 pm in front of the school. Buy early and save $$$!!
Presale discounted RIDE tickets will be available in packages as follows:
25 tickets for $22
75 tickets for $66
50 tickets for $44
100 tickets for $88
HINDLEY GAME tickets are $1 per ticket. These are YELLOW tickets.
PLEASE NOTE THAT RIDE TICKETS AND YELLOW GAME TICKETS ARE
DIFFERENT AND CANNOT BE INTERCHANGED.

BAKE SALE
Love to bake? Please contribute to our bake sale. Muffins, brownies, cookies,
coffee cake or other cakes and pies are all welcome. Be creative! Please bring
baked goods wrapped in clear cellophane or saran wrap to the gymnasium on
Friday, May 8th between 3:00 – 5:00 pm. To sign up to donate goods for the

HINDLEY COOKIE
Don't forget, on Friday morning, May 8th, the famous Hindley cookie will be on
sale for $1 each from 7:45 - 8:30 am in front of the school. We have 15
volunteers signed up to make the Hindley cookie. For those who signed up,
please drop off your pre-wrapped cookies to Tori Bolger (18 Miles Road) on May
7th. Although the sign up to bake the Hindley cookie is filled, if you want to bake

USED BOOKS
We are collecting gently used books, videos and DVD's to sell at the Hindley
Happening Used Book Booth. So take some time to clear off your shelves and
pass along your fiction, non-fiction, cook books, coffee table books and movies to
this worthwhile cause! Donations may be neatly dropped in the entryway of the
school.

PLANT SALE
All plants that were preordered will be available for pickup at the Hindley Garden
on Thursday, May 7th from 1:30-3:30 pm.

SILENT AUCTION
We have a fantastic Silent Auction for everyone again this year, with some new
and exciting items. We thank all who have contributed to the class donations
and/or family donations. We couldn't have done it without the support of the
wonderful Hindley families. Please stop by the gym and place a bid!
Also, be sure to look for the beautiful class art projects. Through May 8th, a
selection of the class art projects (one from each grade level) will be on display at
Darien Donut. All the special art project canvases created by each class will be
on display at the Silent Auction and available for purchase/bidding.

MOTHER’S DAY BASKET & PRINCIPAL-FOR-A-DAY RAFFLES
We will again be holding the Mother’s Day Basket and Principal-for-a-Day raffles
this year! Tickets will be on sale in front of the school Wednesday, May 6th Friday, May 8th 7:45 -8:30 am.
Ticket prices for both “Principal-for-a-Day” & the Mother’s Day Basket are
$2 per ticket or three (3) for $5.

Fast Pass Raffle
Win a chance to be first in line for rides all day with your own Fast Pass. Winning
raffle ticket will receive a Fast Pass for one family of up to 6 people. Forms will
be in backpack by Friday May 1st. Return your completed forms and money to
the office by Friday May 8th 9:00 am. Fast Pass Raffle tickets will also be on
sale in front of the school Wednesday, May 6th - Friday, May 8th 7:45 -8:30 am.
Fast Pass Raffle ticket price is $10 per ticket.
