About IEHC 2015 INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH CONFERENCE 2015 The Health Inspector Union Sarawak Health Department are organising this event on 27th – 28th October, 2015. OUTCOMES We want to make a historic gathering at Kuching, the headquarters for the IEHC 2015 event. Government officials, NGOs, corporations, scientists, philosophers, lawyers, students and environmental activists will reached an agreement on the necessity of the Kuching Declaration, the Guardian for our Future Generation in the Environmental and Health decision-making. The key element of the Kuching Declaration is that it will incites us to take anticipatory and precautionary action in the need to preserve, safeguard and improve our ecosystem and our environmental health uncertainty. It will be voluntary (though can be a law) with personal commitment. We believe that the existing environmental health regulations and other decisions, particularly those based on risk assessment have failed to protect adequately our environment and human health which is a part of the larger system of which human are a part of it. We also believe that there is compelling evidence that damage the worldwide environment and human health which is of such magnitude and seriousness that the welfare of our planet beings requires new principles for conducting human activities. What has happened yesterday and the last time will be history and lesson learned and through the Kuching Declaration, we hope all participants will adopt a precautionary approach to all human endeavors. The Kuching Declaration will convene all Environmental Health and related practitioners from governmental bodies to public and private corporations around Europe, Africa, Asia and Western Pacific region.
