All upper-level HLS students have the opportunity to
cross-register into other Harvard schools, MIT, and Tufts
Fletcher School.
To cross-register into a course at another Harvard school,
you will need to complete an online XREG petition through
the Harvard University Course Catalog.
To cross-register into a course outside of Harvard, you will
need to complete the Non-Harvard Petition Form.
All schools have different XREG enrollment periods, you
will want to refer to the Academic Calendar to determine
when you can submit your XREG petition for each school.
Below are a few other resources to assist with your crossregistration plans:
◦ Harvard University Cross-Registration pages
◦ Harvard Law School Cross-Registration pages

For successful registration:
 Note all dates
 Utilize all available resources
 Complete and submit preferences in Helios
 Must always select “Submit Preferences”
