Walk -in interview
Following project staff is required in the DST sponsored research project entitled"Geological
documentation of the damages in Alaknanda and Mandakini Valley during the flash flood of 17th
June, 2013 and to suggest the Geological, Geomorphological and Geotechnical remedial measures
to minimize the losses in future".
Research Associate (R A): one post (till 30th November, 2015 or up to the project tenure which will
be the later)
Eligibility: (1) Ph.D. in Geology.Sound knowledge of the Himalayan terrain and experince of the
field work in various part of the Himalaya (2) Age : Below 35 years years on the date of interview.
Candidates who have (are) worked (working) in climate and tectonic of the Himalaya will be
prefereed.
Monthly emoluments: Rs. 24,000/- (pre-revised permonth and + HRA as per HNB garhwal
University rule)
2. “Tecteno-geomorphic evolution of the Quaternary terraces of Alaknanda Valley between
Devprayag Fault and Main Central Thrust”
Research Scholar: one post (till 30th September, 2015)
Eligibility: (1) M.Sc. in Geology with more than 55% marks at PG. (2) At least 2years reserch
experience as research fellow / project assistant. Age: below 30 years. Candidate who have (are)
worked (working) in Himalaya will be given preference
Monthly emoluments: Rs. 16,000/- (pre-revised permonth and + HRA as per HNB garhwal
University rule)
Interested candidate may appear for walk-in interview on 28/5/2015 in the Department of Geology,
Chauras campus at 11.30 am. They may submit their applications at the time of interview along with
their attested testemonials. The candidate must produce original documents/ certificates at the time of
interview. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. For any information they can
