We hope everyone is enjoying the winter as we move rapidly towards the first of our Women’s Masters events.
We recognise that there may still be some confusion because the selection trials are before our State
Championships rather than after, so in consideration of those who were unaware of this, the closing date for
nomination to stand for selection has been extended until mid next week. SO IT’S NOT TOO LATE!

EXEMPTIONS:
Everyone needs to be aware that exemptions MUST be sent for ALL players who wish to play for another state
due to historical reasons. These exemption requests should be sent to [email protected].
Everyone wishing to be considered for selection but are unable to be in attendance in Newcastle on the 13 th June
MUST send exemption requests, along with an explanation to [email protected], unless you have already
done so.
Those Masters Coordinators managing Association teams that require age exemptions for the State
Championships MUST send all requests for exemptions to [email protected], unless you have
already done so.
SELECTION TRIALS:
Format:
7.15 – selectors meeting
7.30 – OFP meeting
8.00 – 10.00 35’s / 40’s
10.00 – 12.00 45’s / 50’s
12.00 – 1.30 55’s / 60’s
1.30 – 3.00 35’s /40’s
3.00 – 4.00 Goalkeepers. GK’s also need to attend their age division session.
4.00 – 5.30 45’s / 50’s
5.30 – 7.00 55’s / 60’s
Sunday morning 14th June 9.00am Selectors meeting and all OFP at the hockey centre.
Selected teams will be named on the HNSW website by COB Tuesday 16th June.
All participants nominating must try on the uniform in Newcastle and record their own sizes on the uniform order
sheet that will be provided. Selected players will then input their uniform requirements into the online Uniform
Order Form provided by HNSW. Invoices for selected players’ uniforms will be sent by HNSW.

All successful players will be required to sign an injury/fitness document, Code of Conduct form and provide a
personal medical history. These must be returned directly to your Team Manager by the stipulated date.
STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
State Championships will be held in Bathurst from midday Thursday 23rd July until Sunday 26th July inclusive.
All teams should have completed their nomination forms already and team details not supplied with nominations
must be entered on the HNSW website by 30th June 2015. All teams must nominate under their New Association
name with their old Association name in brackets.
The 2015 Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 24th July, 5.00pm in the Rafters Bar- Foyer at the Charles
Sturt University. An agenda will be sent with the next newsletter and also the nomination form for the Women’s
Masters Sub Committee. Any registered HNSW member is eligible to nominate.
Times of managers’ meeting will be advertised shortly.
The draft draw will be circulated as soon as possible.
Bathurst still has one motel which has 16 rooms (max 48 people) available – if interested please contact Gail at
[email protected].
Any Association teams needing umpires for the duration of the Championships should contact Libby Milligan, the
umpire coordinator for Bathurst at [email protected].
Just Hockey will have an extensive range of memorabilia for sale at the Championships.
Massage therapists will be on site and a Photographer will also be on site.
You will find attached a document detailing tent hire (JD Events) with an order form.
Also attached is the invitation for HNSW Women’s Masters Hockey 1985 – 2015 30 Year Celebration Event. The
Masters jumpers will be handed out at this event. To assist the Host Association with this event, we are calling for
any memorabilia and photos of Masters (Veterans) hockey during this 30 years. We would appreciate a list of
names of ladies (or even any male officials) who will be in attendance at Bathurst this year and who played and/or
officiated in Newcastle in 1985, to send their contact details to Gail at [email protected].
If you have photos or any interesting items that you are prepared to have on display at the event please contact
either Gail or Helen at [email protected].

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Team commitments commence Monday 21st September until Sunday 4th October 2015.
Player levy will be approximately $2000, exclusive of any of your uniform requirements.
All participants are to organise their own transport to Brisbane (Oaks Festival Towers, 108 Albert Street) and be in
by 9.00pm 21st, as training will commence 22nd September as early as 8.00am.
More information will be forthcoming from State Team Managers once team announcements are made.
