C: He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. P: He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. C: Happy are those who make the Lord their trust, who do not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after false gods. P: You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you. Were I to proclaim and tell of them, they would be more than can be counted. C: Sacrifice and offering you do not desire, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required. P: Then I said, “Here I am; in the scroll of the book it is written of me. C: I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.” P: I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; see, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O Lord. C: I have not hidden your saving help within my heart, I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation. Gathering Hymn Lord, You Give the Great Commission ELW #579 (vv. 1-2, 4-5) Prayer of the Day P: God of Grace; C: You sent your disciples into the world to preach, teach, and make disciples of all nations. Make us instruments of proclamation, so that all might know of the love you have for humanity. We pray these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. Mission Offering For April The Lord’s Prayer YWCA of Cass and Clay Counties The YWCA Cass Clay is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Some of the programs that benefit from our donations include: an emergency shelter for women and children, therapeutic and education services for children, education and employment training for women, transitional housing for women and children, and racial justice advocacy. Please give generously to the YWCA and thank you! C: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen Sending God’s Word Prayer of Discipleship Gospel Acclamation Lord, Let My Heart Be Good Soil ELW #512 The Gospel Matthew 28:16-20 P: The Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew, Chapter 28, verses 16-20. C: Glory to you, O Lord. (The Gospel Reading is Shared) P: The Gospel of our Lord. C: Praise to you, O Christ. Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi (1182-1226) C: Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. The Benediction Pr. Patrick Loree P: The God of all grace, who has called you to eternal glory in Christ, restore, support, strengthen, and bless you, now and forever. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
