CALL TO WORSHIP:
Liturgist: Come, let all of God’s people give praise and worship the Lord!
People: For we are called to carry God’s light into the world.
Liturgist: To be witnesses through our lives of God’s redemption and glory.
People: That others should no longer be in darkness but receive God’s Light.
Liturgist: Let us celebrate with joy and song for God’s redeeming Word.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
**HYMN #1
Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee
HYMN TO JOY
**CALL TO CONFESSION:
Prayer:
Lord, so often we have taken for granted the wonderful Good News You have
entrusted to us to share with the world. Too often we have even treated Your Gospel as though
it were unimportant or, even worse, as if we were ashamed of it. Forgive us, Lord, and restore
our passion to serve and live for You and to share Your Gospel with all who will hear. In Christ
we pray. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our
Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge
the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
**THE PEACE:
Leader: May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
People: And also with you.
(You may greet one another)
**Gloria Patri: Glory be to the Father and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen. Amen.
TIME OF PRAYER:
Call to Prayer: Let Us Pray
Silent, Pastoral and the Lord’s Prayer:

earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory, forever, Amen.

O Heavenly
Father, God
of Love, You
gave us Your
Son Jesus to
be not only
Physician of
our souls but
also Healer of our bodies and
minds. Lord Jesus, I turn to You in
this time of illness. Please come to
me now, and lay your healing
hands on me. Let the warmth,
peace and healing power of Your
Spirit fill me now with Your life
and love, I receive You, Lord Jesus!
Heal me According to Your Divine
Will, Lord Jesus, and enable me to
serve You with a healthy body,
soul, and spirit. May Your Joy, O
Lord, be my strength this day.
Amen.

MEMBERSHIP OUTREACH COMMITTEE: A Lenten Program will be starting on Ash
Wednesday (February 18, 2015) and continuing each Wednesday evening through Easter. The
time is 7:00 to 8:00 pm in Fellowship hall. The program will be hosted by Donna Berger and Judy
Endresen-Worthy. Presbyterian Today, January/February 2015 issue has a Lenten Devotional
“DRAW NEAR” and the program is set up for a journey through the Book of Psalms, which has
long been viewed as the prayer book of the Bible. We hope that you will join us for fellowship
during this important time of our church year. We know the story and outcome but we always
need to be inspired during this very special time of the year. There is a sign up sheet on the sign
up board near the kitchen in Fellowship hall. Thank you.
The WORSHIP COMMITTEE cordially invites all members, friends, and their friends to honor
and celebrate not only our new Allen Organ but also the music of our church. There will be organ
solo’s, organ and piano duets, as well as music by the choir. Again, be sure to attend and bring
your friends on Sunday February 22, 2015. We are very pleased that we were able to purchase the
Allen organ thanks to our several angels.
There will be refreshments after the service during the friendship hour. The Worship Committee
along with the Care and Nurture Committee will celebrate Heart Sunday as well as the Organ
dedication. We are looking forward to seeing you then AND please be sure to wear RED.
CARE & NURTURE COMMITTEE: is collecting items for the care kits for homeless vets and
LAHIA. Please select from the following items: Razors, travel size toothpaste, tooth brushes,
deodorant, soap, new wash cloths, shampoo, comb or brush, granola bars and snack size raisins.
Please no substitutions. Items can be left in Fellowship Hall.
