2015 Summer Golf Information and Schedule NMSU Golf Course will once again be hosting Junior Golf Camps throughout the summer. Instructional Programming will be AGE and ABILITY specific. Junior Golfers of all abilities are encouraged to sign up for our camps. NMSU GC summer camps are a great way to introduce your child to the game and or help them elevate their game to the next level for those aspiring to play on a high school or college golf team. Instruction will be lead by Jason White, PGA Head Golf Professional with the assistance of NMSU PGA Golf Management Students. Maximum Student to Instructor ration will be 7:1. Instruction will cover all facets of the game, rules and etiquette. Golf Camps will run Monday‐
Thursday and will last two hours. The Cost per session will be $60 and will include professional instruction, range balls and prizes. VERY IMPORTANT: This summer or classes will be limited to 21 kids per camp. Spots are starting to fill up so don’t wait! If you know what camp you want to get you kid(s) into sign up TODAY. NEW TO THE NMSU GC….The NMSU Youth Golf Academy is going to take on a different look this year! NMSU GC is excited to offer our juniors a FUN Golfing experience through the PGA Junior League which is designed to accommodate juniors under the age of 13. PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG) is designed to better socialize the game for boys and girls, ages 13 and under. PGA JLG features team vs. team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular, less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke‐play competition. This is a great way to get kids involved in the game! The NMSU GC Junior League Team(s) will compete against other Jr. League Teams in our area; Las Cruces, Deming/Silver City and El Paso, TX. Open Registration will be May 11th through May 31st and our 1st TEAM practice will be on Sunday June 7th.
