LATE SUBMISSION OF ASSIGNMENTS Requests for an extension of time for submission of an assessment item must be lodged before the due date for the assessment item. Extensions are only granted for exceptional circumstances, and can only be granted by the Program Development Manager or Dean and Executive Officer. Requests received on or after the due date will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. Applications for extension must be submitted in writing on the “PGA IGI Request for Assessment Extension Form” accompanied by appropriate supporting documentation. A medical certificate will be required for application for extensions due to illness. Extensions will not be granted due to poor time management or computer storage failure, students are required to create a copy of all assignment/assessment items for a period of 12 months. Where an extension has not been granted any assessment item submitted after the due date will be subject to academic penalty and may receive a ‘Fail’ grade. A fail grade will require you to re enrol in your course of study and pay the full tuition fee. Note of Warning: PGAIGI has a 2 semester academic year, most courses in your program of study are only offered once per year. If you fail a subject you will not be able to re-enrol until the following year.
