I will fight to try and have more social housing. Drinking Ban The Lib Dem FOCUS team has been working all year round and making a difference for local people since 1992. Another issue that has been raised, people drinking in parks and around shops in the area. We will work with the police and other organisations so that is this resolved. That’s 23 years of Lib Dem action in Huntingdon. No wonder local people want a hard- working local champion for their councillor! Regaining Services and rebuilding Huntingdon I also want valuable services replaced which was lost because of the cuts to local authority budgets. I will work with all organisations to create a better town with more shops to build the local economy. The election on 7th May 2015 is a triple election. Every voter will be given three ballot papers: Ÿ a General Election vote – to choose a member of parliament in this constituency. The Liberal Democrat candidate in the General Election is experienced campaigner Rod Cantrill. Ÿ two Local election votes – to choose someone who will be a hard working local councillor to stand up for this area in the District and Town Council. Look for the bird. Don’t forget that in the local elections here in Huntingdon North area it is always a close fight between the Tories, the Lib Dems and Labour. Voting UKIP will just help the Tories win. District and Town Council Elections The District and Town Council elections on May 7th are local elections. They will not change government policy on the deficit, Europe, immigration or Scottish Independence. Instead, they will select those who will be in charge with providing a local service to local residents on local issues. This is what the Lib Dems will continue to do: We believe that local Lib Dems have a proven track record of working hard all year round. We do not ignore the electorate between elections. If you want a team that will be around when you or others need it, then please vote for Daniel Laycock for District and Town Council on May 7th. If any of the other parties do come to your door please ask them what they will do. In the run-up to this election I will try and see as many of you as possible. But, with over 4,000 electors in this ward alone, I may not get to see you all. However if you would like me to make a special trip to see you, email me on [email protected] or get in touch via 07983962393, that’s my promise to you. FO CUS The local Lib Dems helped me when I was going through a bad patch and they really helped me out - they were there for me until they had finished the job - they’re fantastic. K Norfolk Road I’ve only just moved to the area and the only person who has knocked on my door was the local Lib Dems I’ll be voting for the Lib Dems this year.
