The 2015 May 7, 2015 Presented by Huntsville Hospital Foundation TEXT TO Donate Together, we can do great things! This year, we have incorporated a new and easy way for you to make a donation to the Huntsville Classic - here at the event, in less than 30 seconds, and utilizing your cell phone! A gift of any amount will be greatly appreciated. If everyone in the VBC Arena makes a donation this evening, then together we can make a tremendous impact, and equip Huntsville Hospital’s nurses with important communications technology. Instructions for making a donation are listed below. After texting your donation amount, you will receive a text with a link to complete your gift. If you cannot complete the transaction this evening, then a Mobile Cause Call Center representative will contact you to complete the donation in the next few days. If you have questions or need assistance, a Classic volunteer or Foundation staff member will be happy to help you. Huntsville Classic Dinner and Concert Program 5:30 - 6:30 Complimentary Cocktail Hour 7:00 Dinner Introduction of 2015 Chairmen Dave Hargrove and Barney Heyward Destination Auction 8:30 JAY LENO Many thanks to our emcees Dan McClain and Josie Lane with 102.1 WDRM. Your Support Makes a Difference! Classic Proceeds to Enhance Physician & Nurse Communications Proceeds from the 2015 Classic will support a new Huntsville Hospital initiative, Nursing Mobility, which will provide nurses with a single multi-purpose communications device that can be used in many ways. The device will provide secure texting with physicians and other clinicians, as well as nurse call alerts, and emergency patient alerts. When administering medications to a patient, the nurse will be able to use the device to scan patient armbands and medication barcodes to ensure the patient is receiving the right drug and right dose at the right time – and then automatically document the medications administered in the patient’s medical record. The enhanced communications will not only improve communications among caregivers, it will also decrease medication errors, and enhance patient care and safety – our ultimate goal. We appreciate your support of the 2015 Classic, our physicians and nurses – and most importantly, our patients!
