„SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES OF BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION”
(Lviv, 21-22 May 2015)
DEAR COLLEAGUES!
Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of Ecology of the Carpathians NAS of Ukraine invites you
to participate in I (XII) International conference of young scientists „SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES
OF BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION”.
During the conference it is planning to discuss the results of original research and theoretical
generalizations of such areas:
1. Problems of biodiversity conservation;
2. Management of biodiversity on the protected areas;
3. Biomonitoring of the natural environment.
The conference program provides plenary sessions, work in sections and excursions.
The conference will be held 21-22 May 2015 at the Institute of Ecology of the Carpathians NAS
of Ukraine (Lviv, Kozelnytska St., 4). The students, PhD students and young scientists up to 35 years
old are welcome to take part in the conference.
Abstract book will be published before the conference starts. Editorial Board reserves the right to
edit materials and reject those that do not meet the requirements or the topics of the conference. In this
case, the fee will be returned except of the postal expenses.
The most interesting reports, declared during the conference, will be published in the Proceedings
of the Institute of Ecology of the Carpathians NAS of Ukraine „Scientific Principles of Biodiversity
Conservation”.
To participate in the conference you should sent the following materials by April 1:
1. Application to the committee e-mail: [email protected], indicating your full name and
surname, date of birth, institution, position, scientific degree, academic status, title report, section,
contact address, phone, e-mail, modes of participation (oral presentation, abstract publishing only,
participation without report).
2. The electronic version of the conference abstracts (file name – by the name of the first author,
format – rtf.) at the address given above. Information on receiving application and abstracts will be
confirmed by the letter on your e-mail address within 2-3 working days from the time you have sent
the materials. If you did not receive the confirmation, please, send materials once more. The author
accepts responsibility for the contents of abstracts.
The second circular will be sent to all registered participants after May 1.
3. Registration fee – 180 UAH (for students – 130 UAH). Foreign participants pay a fee in the
currency of the country according to the exchange rate on the day of transfer. Registration fee includes
the cost of one abstract book, a folder with conference materials, participation in the coffe-break. The
registration fee does not cover travel expenses, accommodation and participation in the tour. Please

You should also send to the committee e-mail a copy of the payment receipt with the obligatory indication
of the name and surname of registration fee payer.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION RULES
The abstracts up to two (2) pages should be typed in Microsoft Word in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Page format A4, margins – 1.5 cm on all sides, font Times New Roman, size 12 pt, single spacing. Also a short
summary (3-5 sentences) in English is required. Text without providing bold or italic, characters from font
Symbol, without hyphens, figures, graphs, tables. If necessary you may use references to sources of
information: literature reference must be enclosed in brackets, where you should point the author or title
publication and the year. The list of literature sources is not attached.
