Abstract
Collaborative engineering design may be considered as a socio-technical activity. Research has tended to
focus upon technical collaborative engineering design with relatively little consideration addressing the
interrelated social aspect. The workshop is targeted at experts and researchers within the domain of
collaborative engineering design with a focus on identifying perspectives regarding the social and technical
aspects of collaborative engineering design. The workshop will facilitate discussion and the exchange of ideas
between collaborative engineering design experts and researchers from social and technical domains.
