Abstract
The workshop will investigate and establish the training requirements for research within the different
Collaborative Design research areas to provide a foundation for future knowledge creation. Existing globally
available training provision will be mapped to these training requirements to form a complete picture of
training availability which can be used by Collaborative Design researchers to support their development,
establish international relationships, and strengthen the Collaborative Design network. The intention of this
workshop is to form the basis for a complete map of research methods and training that are specific to
collaborative design, and which can be used to tailor to the requirements of any collaborative Design research
area.
