EXPERIENCE
NUREMBERG
Nuremberg - an open-minded city
where you can enjoy a great way of
life!
Nuremberg is located in the German state
of Bavaria, in the administrative region of
Middle Franconia. It is the second-largest
city in Bavaria, the largest in Franconia and
is considered as Germany's fourteenth
largest city.
Living in Nuremberg isn’t any different from
other German Cities, or any other city in
the world; it totally depends on the lifestyle
you choose. If you humbly decide to cut on
luxurious treats you can „survive“ with a
couple of hundreds. However, if you indulge
in a fancy nightlife and awesome after dark
hours you will be spending a lot more.
To put it in a nutshell, living in a city with
history and tradition is considered to be
really inspiring. That’s why Nuremberg is
one of the most desired destinations for
studying abroad among international
students. Nuremberg is fascinating for those
who are interested in culture and look for
new experiences.

BANK ACCOUNT OPENING
Students are advised to open a bank account at a German bank. There are a
lot of banks that offer free banking to students. Go to a bank of your choice
and take the following documents with you:
Valid passport
Matriculation certificate or authorization certificate
Sometimes: Proof of German address
After opening the account, the bank will send the bank card as well as
the pin number to your German address.
APARTMENT
Student Apartments include the communal cost circles around 350-750
Euros, depending on the area for a shared room. Student dormitories on
the other hand are way cheaper, 250 Euros including the communal
costs, but it’s very hard to land one. You definitely have to search for
months before your depart in Nuremberg.
Included in the cost are water and heating – excluded are electricity and
telephone. An Internet connection is available in all student union halls of
residence (in each room/flat).
