It is the second-largest city in Bavaria, the largest in Franconia and is considered as Germany's fourteenth largest city. Living in Nuremberg isn’t any different from other German Cities, or any other city in the world; it totally depends on the lifestyle you choose. The full scope of everything you might desire: German, Italian, Turkish, American, Thai food, a bakery as well as a great salad bar. LIBRARY The University Library of Erlangen-Nuremberg is responsible for building up a comprehensive collection of literature especially in the subject areas of economics and social sciences. For academic research a huge variety of literature and electronic data just wait for you. There are a lot of banks that offer free banking to students. Go to a bank of your choice and take the following documents with you: Valid passport Matriculation certificate or authorization certificate Sometimes: Proof of German address After opening the account, the bank will send the bank card as well as the pin number to your German address. APARTMENT Student Apartments include the communal cost circles around 350-750 Euros, depending on the area for a shared room. Student dormitories on the other hand are way cheaper, 250 Euros including the communal costs, but it’s very hard to land one. You definitely have to search for months before your depart in Nuremberg. Included in the cost are water and heating – excluded are electricity and telephone. An Internet connection is available in all student union halls of residence (in each room/flat).
