The Atkin Fellowship for Arab-Israeli Dialogue

The Atkin Fellowship
for Arab-Israeli Dialogue
The International Centre for the Study of
Radicalisation and Political Violence (ICSR)
is offering young leaders from Israel and the
Arab world the opportunity to come to
London for a period of four months in order
to develop their ideas on how to further peace
and mutual understanding in the Middle East
through research, debate and constructive
dialogue in a neutral political environment.
The Atkin Fellowship is aimed at promoting
new thinking among young leaders – typically
from government, business, academia, and the
media – who occupy positions from which they
can shape politics and public opinion in Israel
and the Arab world. Applicants must be
graduates; based in the Middle East at the time
of their application; and fluent English speakers.
Applications from women are encouraged.
Fellows will be based at the ICSR offices at
King’s College London and receive a stipend to
cover their accommodation, living costs and travel.
They are expected to complete a paper dealing
with one aspect of the current conflict. In addition,
they will promote information and education
about issues in the region by making themselves
available for debate and consultation, as well as
jointly organise a series of seminars dealing with
aspects of the current upheavals in the Middle East.
We are currently recruiting
two Atkin Fellows for the
period from 1 October 2015
to 31 January 2016, as well
as two Atkin Fellows for the
period from 1 February 2016
to 31 May 2016.
For the forthcoming intake,
we are looking for applicants
from Egypt, Israel, Jordan,
Lebanon, Palestine and Syria
only. Deadline for applications
is Sunday, 14 June 2015.
