www.ifed-2015.com IFED CAPE TOWN – 5 TO 7 NOV 2015 Meet Team Atlanta: • Dr David Garber • Dr Henry Salama • Dr Maurice Salama • Dr Guilherme Cabral Dr. David Garber DMD, periodontist, prosthodontist, implants Dr. David Garber has a dual appointment at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, in Augusta Georgia, as Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics, as well as Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation. He is also on the faculty of Louisiana State University as Visiting Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. Dr. Garber graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with post-doctoral training in both Periodontics and fixed Prosthodontics (periodontal prosthetics). Prior to his coming to Atlanta, he was Director of Crown and Bridge, and the Director of the Group Clinical Practice. He lectures extensively on multi-disciplinary approaches to optimizing esthetics. The programs integrate restorative dentistry and periodontic implants in developing total dental-facial harmony. Dr. Garber has presented throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia. He has practiced in Great Britain, South Africa, and the U.S. Dr. Garber is an active member of numerous dental societies, including the American Academy of Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the American Prosthodontic Society. He is also a board member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He has been named “Fellow of the College” of the International College of Dentists, USA Section. Dr. Garber writes extensively, authoring innumerable articles and contributing to many dental books. He has co-authored texts on esthetic dentistry, including Bleaching Teeth, Porcelain Laminate Veneers, Porcelain and Composite Inlays and Onlays, and Complete Dental Bleaching. Dr. Garber is completing a text himself on integrated therapy in advanced esthetics and the “esthetic implant”. He is also co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. www.ifed-2015.com Dr. Henry Salama DMD, prosthodontist, periodontist, implants Dr. Henry Salama completed his undergraduate education at the State University of New York at Binghamton where he received a BS in Biology. He earned his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Salama then pursued postgraduate specialties in Periodontics, Periodontal Prosthetics, and Fixed Prosthodontics as well as Implant Surgical Training and Implant Prosthetic Training. In addition to joining Goldstein Garber & Salama, he continues to maintain his current position as Director of Implant Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Salama currently holds a Clinical Assistant Professorship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Salama is the author of numerous scholarly publications, including several he coauthored in the field of inter-disciplinary treatment and implants. Dr. Henry is a sought-after lecturer and has spoken before dental conferences and seminars in the U.S., Europe and Israel, as well as Central and South America. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseointegration. An avid sportsman, Dr. Salama enjoys spending time pursuing sports such as: basketball, scuba diving, and skiing. His wife, Shirley, is a general dentist who has also received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Rutgers University. www.ifed-2015.com Dr. Maurice Salama DMD, prosthodontist, periodontist, implants Dr. Maurice A. Salama completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985, where he received his BS in Biology. Dr. Salama received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he later received his dual specialty certification in Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as implant training at the Branemark Center at Penn. He was awarded the George Coslet and Richard Chase Scholarships at the University of Pennsylvania during his post-doctoral studies. Dr. Salama is currently on the faculties of the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Georgia as Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics. Dr. Salama has completed an ADA accredited hospital-based General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. In 1988 he had the opportunity to further broaden his clinical horizons through externships at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. His very unique background includes specialized training in Orthodontics, Periodontal Surgery, and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Salama is an active member in the American Academy of Orthodontics, the American Academy of Periodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society, Georgia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He also served as the Dental Expert for Fox (WAGA) TV in Atlanta, Georgia on a weekly basis. The dual nature of his specialty training makes Dr. Salama a frequent author of dental literature, and a sought-after lecturer nationally and internationally. www.ifed-2015.com Dr. Guilherme Cabral DDS, CDT Dr. Guilherme Cabral received his certification in Dental Technology from Rocha Marmo School in Sao Paulo in 1995, after three years of International Dental Porcelain Program on Keyes Coachman Institute he became Ceramist and owner of the Coachman & Oliveira Dental Lab in 1997. Dr. Cabral completed his undergraduate studies at State University of Sao Paulo with degree of Dental Science in 1999 .During four years after graduation he worked as assistant professor of support group research of Dental Material Department of that currently University In 2001 he opened his own practice in Taubate “Institute of Esthetic Dentistry” at the same time he had been Advisor of Brazilian Association of Dental Laboratories, when he developed a New Methodology to Teach and Learn Dental Morphology as a Professor of Ceramoart (Ceramic Training Center) in 2002 and Member and professor of the Insight Group (Prosthetic Training Center) since 2003. As a Member of the Brazilian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and Brazilian Society of Esthetic dentistry he became teacher and speaker in several subjects including dental morphology, dental ceramic , prosthetic planning , as well as Co-Author of articles and books regarding implant Dentistry and Esthetic Dentistry.
