WELCOME
Dear Colleagues,
It gives me great pleasure to announce the 29th Congress of the IFSCC to be held in
October 2016 in Orlando, Florida. This event will be a wonderful experience for all attendees.
The scientific program will provide the latest breakthroughs and innovations in Cosmetic
Science as we go “Beyond Dreams into New Frontiers”. We hope to “Innovate” new
ideas and products that will “Inspire” you to “Imagine” all the opportunities available to us.
For those of you who had the opportunity to attend the 23rd Congress in Orlando, 2004, you
know that this was a very worthwhile experience both professionally and personally! So,
please mark your calendar for this global industry event.
In this media kit, you will be introduced to some of the pertinent details of the Congress as it
relates to the Exhibition, Sponsorship and Advertising. Please remit the order form in the
back of this kit to reserve your booth space, sponsorship and/or advertising at the Congress.
Your support is greatly appreciated. You will also learn about our exciting location, Orlando,
Florida. Please note that the official Congress Hotel will again be at the Walt Disney World
Dolphin Resort At the Walt Disney World® Resort.
As was the case in 2004, the Congress exhibition promises to be rewarding to both the
exhibitor and the attendee. It will be a two day event in the spacious Pacific Hall. Lunches
& coffee services will be held in this venue as well as the Congress poster sessions. The
Exhibition Committee, chaired by Colleen Rocafort, has worked to maintain a reasonable
booth price for our supplier and service communities. Remember exhibition attendees will be
from all over the globe!
Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are included in this kit. Our sponsors will be
prominently recognized in all announcements, Congress and SCC web sites, on digital
signage throughout the venue and in the final program as well as Congress bag.
Our Congress committees have been hard at work to create an atmosphere filled with
science and learning as well as enjoyable social events that bring scientists from around
the world to meet as One community.
Looking forward to seeing you in Orlando!

ABOUT IFSCC
www.ifscc.com
The International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists is a worldwide federation dedicated to
international cooperation in cosmetic science.
Interest in the formation of such an organisation crystallized in Paris in 1956 and culminated in the birth of the
federation in Brussels, Belgium on September 8, 1959. At that time there were only 8 countries entering the
Federation.
Today, 47 Societies representing 57 countries have met the high standards of scientific and educational
qualifications of the IFSCC and, as members, support the organization’s aims and programs. The number of
individual members in the Federation now exceeds 15,000 and is still growing.
The IFSCC continues to grow as the cosmetic industry expands worldwide. As new Societies develop in Eastern
Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, they will be welcomed into the Federation as they qualify for membership.
The aims of the IFSCC are:
• To advance cosmetic science.
• To help to elevate the professional status of cosmetic science and technology worldwide by providing and
promoting educational and scientific programmes and activities.
• To encourage fundamental research work by universities and by independent workers in any and all fields that
may add to the knowledge of cosmetic science.
• To coordinate by correspondence, interchange of information and in other ways, the work and efforts of the
autonomous member societies.
• To cement relationships by reporting on activities in the various autonomous member societies.
• To publish and publicise literature of a scientific and technical nature. To help research workers obtain from all
lands information, literature, patents and other aids, as may be requested and as may be possible.
• To exchange information on any standardised procedures that may be adopted with regard to analyses of
raw materials or finished products, efficiency of products, etc., and to participate in any effort to adopt such
procedures internationally.
• To publicise within the member societies and in the technical and other press of the various countries, the
activities of the societies of all lands.
• To hold congresses, seminars and meetings on an international scale; to invite speakers from any country,
whenever feasible and give publicity to all meetings well in advance.
• To sponsor awards of an international character for outstanding achievement in research, publication, or other
work on behalf of the cosmetic sciences.

SCC
www.scconline.org
Dedicated to the advancement of cosmetic science, the Society strives to increase and disseminate
scientific information through meetings and publications. By promoting research in cosmetic
science and industry, and by setting high ethical, professional and educational standards, we
reach our goal of improving the qualifications of cosmetic scientists. Our mission is to further the
interests and recognition of cosmetic scientists while maintaining the confidence of the public in the
cosmetic and toiletries industry.
Comprised of over 4,000 members, the Society of Cosmetic Chemists was founded in 1945 to
promote high standards of practice in the cosmetic sciences. We serve as a focus and provide
the proper forums for the exchange of ideas and new developments in cosmetic research and
technology.
Since 1948 Chapters have been the lifeblood of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. We now
have 19 Chapters throughout the United States and Canada, which conduct monthly meetings,
educational seminars, suppliers’ days and publish monthly newsletters. These Chapters are run
by dedicated volunteers who lend their time and expertise to the smooth and efficient operation of
each Chapter. The SCC is the largest member society of the IFSCC.
