Membership required. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE The Erie Chapter of Credit Unions James J. DeDad Scholarship applications are now available. Six scholarships totaling $8,000 will be awarded this year. Americo FCU members between the ages of 17 and 24 who are, or will be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in 2015 are eligible to apply. Applicant must complete an application and submit a typewritten 500-word essay to the credit union no later than June 5, 2015. Scholarship applications are available at the credit union office and online at www.americofcu.com and click on student center link. ANNUAL MEETING There is still time to make your reservation to our Annual Meeting and Dinner to be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Erie Maennerchor Club. The cash bar will open at 6:30 pm followed by a sit down dinner at 7:00 pm. Dinner is $20.00 per person and offers a choice of Roast Club Sirloin, Stuffed Chicken Breast or Crab Stuffed Cape Haddie. Reservations are due April 10th. The Credit Union Office will CLOSE at 5:00 pm on FRIDAY, APRIL 17th, so our employees can attend the Annual Meeting. INTERESTED IN BECOMING A VOLUNTEER? We are looking for a volunteer to fill a position on the Supervisory Committee. If you are an Americo FCU member and would like to take an active role in auditing, review and compliance, consider becoming a volunteer on our Supervisory Committee. Training will be provided. Some basic requirements of this position include: 1. Must be at least 18 years of age 2. Credit union member in good standing, free of any criminal convictions involving dishonesty or breach of trust, no delinquency or charged off loans or shares 3. Must maintain confidentiality of the credit union member and records 4. Ability to read and understand financial statements would be helpful 5. Attendance at annual meeting, where an annual written report is provided, is encouraged If you are interested in serving, please submit your request in writing to the Board of Directors, who will make the final selection.
