Course Aim
By the end of this course participants should be able to plan and conduct meetings with staff using the Conversation and
Coaching Skills, the Conversation Roadmap and the exercises and tools included to hold the 5 FOCUSed Conversations to increase
employee engagement, motivation and productivity.
Benefit
The 5 FOCUSed conversations are designed to plumb the depths of employees’ minds to learn about their true goals, aspirations,
strengths and motivations. They also provide a very effective performance management tool (used either separately or in
conjunction with the organization’s own Performance Development Process) and a facility to gather honest feedback from staff
members. This course provides participants with the fundamental Conversation and Coaching Skills, the Conversation Roadmap,
and the accompanying exercises and tools to increase the effectiveness of their conversations with staff, to enhance employee
engagement, motivation, and productivity.
