Hungry Owl Foundation
A collaborative effort between Food
Education professionals, innovators,
and scientists. With the combined
years of experience of Hungry Owl
Director, Julia Martin-Lombardi and
Imagine Food creator, Maxime Bilet,
we have collaborated to build an
educational model that will move the
garden curriculum out of the school
yard and into the classroom
We are:

Leading the campaign to
incorporate garden opportunities
into daily education.

Providing a platform for students
to have firsthand experiences in
all things food

Offering an educational
component that makes for a full
core curriculum.

Providing interactive displays,
located at Imagine Food, while
offering outreach programs
directly to schools, and youth
services
As a food initiative, Hungry Owl
Foundation and Imagine Food have
a mandate to create healthy,
quality food as well as provide
educational opportunities to help
explore our role and relationship
within the food industry. The
Hungry Owl Foundation is perfectly
positioned to initiate the
conversation around food and its
role in our society and culture.

ability to become active learners
and more engaged in their
studies.

Maxime Bilet teaching the art of food
Has a 5 year track record in food
education with disadvantaged
youth in schools with over 95% free
and reduced food programs. This
means that students will eat most
of their meals at school, food that
is highly processed, and full of
chemicals and sugar. Hungry Owl
will provide the resources and
options to make healthier meal
choices a possibility.

between tradition and
innovation and create pathways for our
senses, tastes, smells, and
feelings, and allow all to be
involved in the process .”
