Or do spring out of bed, excited to be alive and breathing for another day? Sleep is a precious commodity and, as busy
business owners, we often times don’t get enough of it. Regardless of this fact, what do you choose to do with the first
moments of your day?
Every single thought that goes through your mind is your choice, and choosing the “blame game” gets’ you nowhere fast.
Carpe’ Diem! We encourage you to seize this day and consciously make the choice to stop blaming others, circumstances
and situations for your attitude. Ultimately, your attitude is your choice and we encourage you to own it!
William James, a late nineteenth century author and philosopher, is well known for his contribution to psychology and his literary
periodicals are inspiring. He knew that there is substantial power in a positive attitude, and he left his mark on this world by
making bold literary statements such as: “The greatest discover of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by
altering his attitude.”
As you read this message, you might be thinking to yourself, “But…they don’t know what happened to me.” “They don’t know
what she did to me.” “They don’t understand my situation.” All of that may be very true and we may not know your individual
situation. However, what we do know (from personal experience) is plain and simple… “Attitude is 10% what happens to you
and 90% how you react to it.” – Charles Swindoll
Who remembers the show Pollyanna and the “glad game?” No matter what circumstance or situation presented itself, there
was something to be glad about, “you see when you’re hunting for the good things, you sorta forget the other kind.” - Pollyanna
Many times as an entrepreneur, things do not go as planned. However, playing the “glad game” often brings situations into
focus for us and helps us overcome the challenges. This month, we invite you to make the conscious effort to play the “glad
game” and join us as we all choose a positive attitude, even when we may feel those negative thoughts creeping in.

month. Post a picture of your smile, YES - we want to see your smiles! Include why you are glad and the hashtag

One of best ways to have a great summer is to be creative with your parties! I always loved
summertime because my hostesses loved to do “theme” parties. From Margarita Monday’s
to a Girl’s Night Out…there was something for everyone and it definitely made for a fun
summer event. In other words…if you theme it, they will come!
We have been busy creating some fun new “theme” party ads for you to share with your hostesses
that will help take those parties up a notch! There is nothing like attending a party with a purpose and
these ads are fun and inviting! With the right strategy, a theme party can super-charge your direct
sales business by increasing attendance and of course the sales so…Let’s’ get the party started!
Want to get people to attend on a certain weeknight? That’s an easy one. Just include the day you
want to host in your theme. Margarita Monday, Taco Tuesday, Wine Down Wednesday or Fun Friday?
Just by adding the name of the day to your event controls your calendar and gives an instant
reminder to your guests.
Target Market? Are you trying to reach a specific group of people to attend your event like for
instance, moms with babies? Then have a “Mommy’s Time Out” and share our Bundle, changing pad,
Baby Pak and of course our new Warmzee. What about a “Crafter’s Night Out” this is the perfect way
to share our new Tool Wrap filled with crafting supplies. The host could even do an inexpensive little
make and take craft to complete at the party.
Fun Prizes? Don’t forget the fun prizes! Have people bring their favorite dish and recipe to share at a
food themed party and the winner gets a prize. PJ party…of course there will be someone who has
the cutest jammies! The fun is limitless and so are the ideas for prizes. Remember…guests just want to
have fun, so make it fun!
I know many of you have fantastic ideas for themed parties. We want to see the fun you are having
this summer with your parties. Along with the other fun contests, #witwpikle, #PikleProps and Marianne
