The Declaration Activities and updates for the Residents of Independence Hill Retirement Community Volume 23, Issue 6 June 2015 Michelle’s Message Kids Summer Camp ~ We will be having our Summer Adventures at the Hill – “GrandPal Summer Camp” again this year! It will start on Monday, June 15 and go through Friday, July 10th for kids between the ages of 514. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in combined activities with the Campers. We will be posting Weekly Camp Happenings so that you are aware of the opportunities to join them. This has been a great and fun experience over the past two summers. We are excited and looking forward to having this again! Happy Father’s Day Brunch ~ The Dining room will be preparing a special Father’s Day menu and entertainment on Sunday, June 21st. The cost will be $18 for guests. Please make reservations for parties of 5 or more. We look forward to celebrating all these wonderful men in our lives. Window Cleaning ~ Exterior window cleaning will begin this month throughout the entire community. Stay tuned for a memo letting you know when the “window crew” will be in your area. Wishing you a wonderful and jolly June! Susan Says… May was a blast and I thank you all for participating in the activities. And, as you are all aware, the pool is open and the Aquasize classes have started as of May 5th. Classes are on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. All are invited to participate so put on your bathing suit and head on out to the pool. And since the pool is Susan Warriner heated and the nights are getting longer, you Activities & Transportation Director can take in an evening swim with your friends! I’d like to mention to all of you lovely ladies that the Tea at Two is once a month and we’d love to have you attend and enjoy this time with us. We have little give-away gifts to one lucky lady at each table….join us and maybe you’ll be the next lucky recipient! BUNCO Anyone?? We have Bunco once a month in the GTR and are in need of players. This is a fun and fast-paced dice game that’s easy-peasy and, if your luck is good that day, you could win a gift card to H-E-B.
