INDUTEC: A Springboard into Africa
With Africa’s attractiveness as a business destination firmly on the rise, more and more companies are
using the 12 events-in-one SA Industry and Technology Fair (INDUTEC) as a powerful, cost-effective
springboard into the rest of Africa.
Instead of making many trips to different African countries to find business opportunities, one trip to
INDUTEC will give you exposure to many companies from all over Africa. INDUTEC comprises events
targeting the manufacturing, engineering, water, petrochemical, plastics, waste, recycling and energy
sectors, with many business opportunities.
It carries the endorsement of no less than 40 professional institutes and associations, is attended by
exhibitors from more than 16 countries and at the last event attracted visits from 33 countries
An important part of INDUTEC has been the specialist workshops put on by the endorsing associations. In
2015, these educational opportunities will form part of the broader INDUTEC Conference programme
presented by African Agenda (one of South Africa’s leading professional conference organisers).
This inaugural INDUTEC Conference, 20 – 22 May 2015, will provide a structure within which interest
groups can focus on topics of specific interest, or debate policy that affects the broader South African
industrial landscape. The conference structure will also support sector-specific workshops and sessions
proposed and developed by the endorsing associations. In adding this educational aspect to the alreadystrong INDUTEC trade fair offering, we expect to see companies that already attend the trade fair sending
more, and more senior, representatives.
CONFERENCE PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS: The conference programme of plenary and concurrent sessions,
workshops and courses is designed to teach practical lessons, stimulate dialogue, exchange expertise and
develop solutions to critical issues for industry in South Africa. Topics under development include industrial
and manufacturing competitiveness; political risk and governance; international competition; regionalism
and localism; financing; infrastructural limitations; transformation; regulatory issues; and sustainability.
WHY SPONSOR? This is the first year that the conference is being offered. It will add value for visitors to the
