Oral Presentation First Term
12th Grade, Basic Level
INSTRUCTIONS:

oral presentation must last, at least, 7
minutes.
▸ You can’t read the presentation, you must
know what you are saying.
▸ You must include a video from the Internet
showing two weird inventions you have
chosen.
▸ Refer to the following aspects of the
inventions:
-Biography of the inventors
- Say when and why they were invented.
- Refer to the inventions in detail.(positive aspects,
usefulness)
- Say why you chose them.

Roller Buggy
▸ It’s
a multi-functional baby carriage
transformable into a scooter.
▸ Through a simple pull of the lower body it
extends the normal baby carriage into a
scooter, making it more sportive and faster
for both parties.
▸
Roller Buggy features a specially-made
hydraulic brake system with two disc brakes
to slow and bring the buggy to a stop.
Inventor
▸
Valentin Vodev lives and works in Vienna. He
studied at the University of Applied Arts in
Vienna in 2005 and at the Royal College of
Art in 2009. ▸ Roller
Buggy was awarded third prize at the
11th International Bicycle Design
Competition in Taiwan.
It is constructed from aluminum, plastic
and rubber and weighs in at 20kg (44lb), with
dimensions of (HxWxD) 90 x 60 x 90cm (2.9 x
1.9 x 2.9ft).
▸ In
my opinion this is a very good idea as it is
practical, especially when one goes for a walk ,
you can exercise and be responsible at the
same time. The only disadvantage is that any
accident can happen to the baby.
Butter stick
▸ The
butter stick type is basically butter in a
glue stick form. Is it just another strange
invention or is it easy appliance?
▸ Micheal Apeness stole the idea from Luke
Moon in 1867. Luke moon invented the
butter stick during a game of cricket. He
needed and founded a quick way to butter
the scones during the tea brake. His team
mate Micheal decide to take the idea and
created its own company. ▸ In
my opinion this is a very good idea because
it is very practical, comfortable and healthy.
The only disadvantage is that you can easily
lose or confuse with glue stick
