Shaun is a 28 year old consumer with a full and rich life. He currently lives with his supportive parents, Pennie and De Wayne, in Riverside County. Shaun also has a great relationship with his brother, Greg. Shaun has been employed for 6 years through a Westview Vocational Services Individual Placement program, at Von’s in the Riverside Plaza as a Courtesy Clerk. He has been recognized and received awards for his work at Von’s. Shaun provides excellent customer service serving as a Courtesy Clerk with duties in, but not limited to: collecting carts, bagging groceries, item retrieval for customers, stocking and restocking store items. Shaun is courteous and friendly and is often specifically requested to assist customers out to their cars to help load their groceries. Outside of work, Shaun has a steady girlfriend and a fruitful social life. He has maintained the same friends for years, and is known as a loyal and thoughtful friend. Shaun has attended Camp Pavaika with friends, and enjoys other activities such as dining out with friends, and going to the movies. Shaun loves NASCAR and horses! He has been taking riding lessons at EquiFriends Therapeutic Horsemanship Inc. at the Murray Ranch. Shaun has competed in horse shows and won the high point ribbon at the Annual Cal-Net Horse Show in Burbank at two different levels, two years in a row. He travels extensively with family and friends, sometimes flying on his own. He enjoying riding on the back of a family friend’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle and has increased his own independence with his new, modified, electric scooter. Shaun has also completed some ‘travel’ training, and utilizes Riverside Transit Agency’s fixed route bus to get to and from work when staying with his brother in Riverside. Those who have the pleasure of knowing Shaun will agree, he is a wonderful individual with a zest for life in his community and beyond.
