2015 Graduating Senior Exhibition Stephen D. Paine Gallery Participation Guidelines • Seniors graduating in Spring 2015 only • One piece of work • Cannot exceed a 4’ x 4’ x 4’ area (maximum size allowed for a single piece, multiple pieces cannot be shown) • Piece is dropped off ready to hang (framed or with appropriate hardware), only a picture hanger will be provided • If you cannot leave your work during the drop-off times you must provide a paper “footprint” with a color image of the work or description • This template physically reserves space for your piece: it must be the same size as your work and labeled with your name, phone number, and a description of the work with your application stapled to it • The template must be dropped off during the submission period. If you cannot be there, please have a friend fill out the forms completely for you • No late work will be accepted • Pedestals will be provided but may be shared with other artists, if you require a specific size/height you must provide your own • If your work requires specialized hanging equipment you must supply it with detailed instructions • If you want to install the piece yourself you must make advance arrangements with the Chief Preparator, Rob Gainfort (617-897-7338), artists may install on May 13 • All technology (TV, DVD player, projector, etc) must be provided by the artist • You can have your final reviews in the gallery space during office hours (9am to 5pm) bearing in mind we cannot stop installation during reviews, so it may be noisy • You may remove work for a review, but you must bring it back and re-install it yourself, please leave a note with your name, contact info, and return date • NOTE: The gallery is closed to the public, including reviews, ALL DAY on Friday, May 15 for the Blair Sculpture Award jury, if you are not participating in the jury you may remove your work and return it at a later date (leaving a template in its place) • Artwork cannot be stored in the Paine Gallery after 5pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2014, artwork left will be placed in South Hall’s 2nd floor hallway and may be disposed of • If you can’t pick up the work yourself you can have a friend pick it up for you The Curatorial Programs Department and the college are not responsible for lost or damaged artwork, equipment, or materials.
