Retired model/entrepreneur Fatima Smith, CEO/Executive Producer of FSmith Productions is
making a name for herself not only in the Triangle but throughout the Southeast where she’s
known for being a Professional Model, Fashion Show Producer/Event Planner/Photo Shoot
Coordinator and most recently, Part-time Photographer and Model & Talent Manager.
Specializing in (but not limited to) the fashion industry, she prides herself in her ability to work
in the community, bringing awareness to various charities and causes using fashion as a tool to
innovatively create events in a non-traditional manner.
Since, its inception in 2009, FSmith Productions has produced, and collaborated with countless
other professionals all across the South Eastern Region (NY, NJ, VA, MD, DC, NC, SC, GA) on
fashion shows, photo shoots, calendars, magazines, film projects, plays and other industry
/non-industry related events.
In 2010, FSmith Productions partnered with several organizations and local NC charities
such as Interact, Durham Crisis Response Center, Beauty For Ashes/Models Against Domestic
Violence, UNC- (CFAR)-Center For Aids Research and LincS2Durham, to name a few. She
recruits models and actors to present powerful, compelling skit presentations on behalf of
Domestic Violence and HIV/AIDS. The skits have been presented at Durham Parks and
Recreation's Annual African American BIMBE Festival and Durham's Juneteenth Celebration
for many years, and during numerous church events as well. The presentations are to bring
knowledge and attention to the causes and to educate the community in an atypical "fashion".
Other awareness events produced by FSmith Productions have been related to Breast Cancer,
Lung Cancer, Autism and Poverty in America. Fatima also has an affiliation and Partnership
with Feeding America and Lupus Foundation of America.
Fatima’s known for being on her grind, always networking and building rapport with other
industry professionals to make it all go down. She has a niche for giving back by helping to
inspire, encourage and empower others; not only to follow their dreams, but she equips them
with the knowledge and experience that she has and the tools to help them get there.
