UNISSULA International Students Summer / Winter program
proudly organized by the office of International Affairs of UNISSULA.
International Students Summer/ Winter Program is designed to
give oportunity to local students and international students mingle
with our Islamic environment and society receive a mutual
understanding through Cross Cultural Understanding Activity
We do believe that youth are the agent of change to make a
better world in the future
The International Students Summer / Winter Program starts
with series of class or public lectures, internship in several
institution, social and cultural workshop, community services and
small project of mini festival.

The city of Semarang, the capital of Central Java province is located
on the north coast of Java Sea. The Northern part of the city is lying
across on the plain coast and the Southern part is on the hilly side from
Candi Baru area upward to the town of Ungaran. Semarang is a busy
administrative and Trading city, most of the offices, business centers,
industrial estates are concentrated in the low land, where as in the hilly
side, there are many houses with the beautiful gardens with a superb
view to the town and the sea. The old records of this city date back to
the 15th to the 18th century AD in where captivating ancient and colonial
monuments still standing to present date.

Established under the Sultan Agung Waqf Foundation on 20th May
1962, UNISSULA grows as the pioner Islamic University in Central Java.
Distinguished as one of the prominent Islamic Universities in Indone-sia
with experience of provideng higher education services more than 50
years, UNISSULA holds a strategic role both in Indonesia and Islamic
World. With 12 faculties, UNISSULA beleives that outstanding achievements in science and technology and the consecutive production if quali
ed human resources should be prerequisite.

English class : This class provides students skills to
communicate using English both written and spoken
Indonesian Class : this class enables students to learn
Indonesian language for survival of daiily needs.
Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU Class) : Culture is a broad
concept that embraces all aspects of human life, it includes
everything people learn to do. It is everything human have learn.
Culture shapes our thought and actions and often does so with a
heavy hand. Trough CCU class students will learn understanding of
other culture, respect the di erences and avoid miss understanding.
International Business: Exchange of goods and services
occurs among individuals and businesses accross country
borders. The course provides an overview of aspects of trade
from international perspec-tives as well as its unique problems.
Internet economy: The internet is now a fundamental
infrastructure of the economy. It evolved from a data network
connecting PCs with wires to a much broader network of new
wireless portable devices. The course provides overview of the
issues raised by the global internet economy.
Internship Program : Students will experience with the real work of
industrial / managerial eld, by doing intern in industial company
Indoglobal classroom : can be categorized as program of
social service with the concept of sharing interactive experiences
from heart –heart, informal, and without lecturing.

Cultural and Heritage Explosure (Week 1)
Day 1: Sultan Palace – Prambanan Temple This trip starts with
visiting the Sultan Palace. As the center of Javanese culture and
devel-opment, the Sultan Palace is the cultural ame guard. In this
place we can learn and see how the Javanese culture kept alive and
preserved. After visiting the Sultan Palace, we will take you to
Prambanan Temple, the masterpiece of Hindu culture from the 9th
century, Malioboro and stay overnight at Candirejo traditional Village.
Day 2: Sunrise Punthuk Setumbu – Village Cycling & Crafting –
Borobudur – Ullen Sentalu Museum Early morning, we will take
you to Punthuk Setumbu Hills to hunt sunrise. Photographers
from leading photographic magazines claimed Punthuk Setumbu
as the best spot to catch sunrise. After catching the Sunrise at
Punhuk Setumbu, the trip will continue with Village Cycling and
Crafting, and enjoying Borodudur Temple. At the afternoon, we
will take you to Ullen Sentalu Museum, the best museums owned
by Yogyakarta then back to Semarang

Let’s enjoy the old Semarang city, get in touch with the culture,
history and culinary of Semarang.
