College of Behavioral & Community Sciences Message from the Chair CBCS Reorganization Announcement Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling Merges with Department of Child & Family Studies Effective May 1, 2015 The College of Behavioral & Community Sciences (CBCS) is pleased to announce that the Department of Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (RMHC) will become a program in the Department of Child and Family Studies (CFS) effective May 1, 2015. The change is a result of a reorganization within CBCS and should not affect students in any significant way. Students registered for summer and fall 2015 RMHC courses will not change, nor will the faculty teaching the courses. In addition, the reorganization will not affect RMHC’s accreditation. Students will continue to take classes, meet with faculty, instructors and advisors as in the past. In addition, no offices or classrooms will be moving. For registration purposes, all RMHC courses will show up under CFS in OASIS. If you have any questions about the reorganization, courses or registration, please contact Dr. Tennyson J. Wright at [email protected] or 813-974-2963, or Sarah Balmer at [email protected]. edu or 813-974-0970, or the Graduate Assistants Help Desk at [email protected] at 813-974-2855. Thank you.
