to the 28th Annual Irvine Junior Games fundraising track and field meet supporting Before and After
School Child Care on all elementary schools in the Irvine Unified School District

or Sunday, May 17 8:45 a.m. – 12:00 noon

All Athletes are requested and encouraged to participate in the Opening Ceremony –
athletes should report to their School Representative on the track by 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, May 17

At check-in, you will receive 2 name tags like the one at the top of this page. One must be worn on the front of the
Athlete’s IJG T-Shirt throughout the day. The second one is a copy for the Athlete’s parents. Athletes should report to
the staging area 15 minutes prior to each event. The IJG Clerk of Course will send athletes to their events from the staging
area. Volunteers will assist by escorting the athletes to their events.

Please allow time to park, register and be on the track for Opening Ceremony. We encourage you to check
in on Saturday and enjoy the Saturday EXPO festivities. Parents can check-in without the athlete being
present. We have 1,500 athletes that will be checking in. Athletes will receive their IJG T-Shirt at athlete
check-in and are required to wear the shirt at the Irvine Junior Games. Shirt sizes may not be changed.



THERE IS SPECIAL SEATING FOR EACH SCHOOL & THEIR ATHLETES ON THE
VISITOR SIDE OF THE STADIUM. THE VISITOR SIDE IS FOR ATHLETES ONLY.
Spectators will be seated on the home side of the stadium.
Athletes may sit on the athlete side or the spectator side.
SPECTATORS (INCLUDING FAMILY) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE ATHLETE SIDE.
Please schedule times and places to meet your child throughout the day.


IN THE EVENT OF A SCHEDULING CONFLICT, ATHLETES ARE TO GO TO STAGING FOR
THEIR RUNNING EVENT FIRST, WHERE THEY WILL BE PLACED IN AN EARLY HEAT. EVERY
EFFORT IS MADE FOR THE ATHLETES TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL REGISTERED EVENTS.


 Final RELAY TEAM selection of athletes will be made at the event. Each Relay Heat is timed for each
grade and each gender. The top 3 fastest times from each grade and each gender from the timed
heats will be the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.

 SHOES: Any rubber track shoe is acceptable with the exception of metal cleats or spikes. Soccer
style shoes are not required for the “soccer kick” field event but are permitted.
 TIMING and placing for track events will be based on Electronic Timing. Times are not kept for
preliminary or semi-final races.
 Please send a water bottle and sun screen with your child. Please schedule times and places
to meet your child throughout the day. Your child can come to the spectator seating.

Adult Tickets: $8.00  Children under 14: $2.00
Event Programs: $1.00
CONCESSIONS will be sold throughout the day.
Taco Bell & Wienerschnitzel will be selling food at lunch time
100% of the proceeds from Taco Bell & Wienerschnitzel & Concessions are being donated to ICF

for all Irvine Junior Games 2015 registered athletes
on Sunday, April 26th
at Irvine Stadium
Training by pro triple jumper and LEAP Squad Youth Track Coach Keinan Briggs
Athletes will learn the basics to have a successful competition.
Athletes will also learn about proper nutrition,
a track specific warm-up and basic technique and form
for all Irvine Junior Games track and field events for each grade level.
