As the Messiah, Jesus was a Son of David, BUT because He’s God, He was David’s “My Lord” before He was born. (Matt 21:6-9; Matt 22:41-46; Psalm 110:1,5) B. Jesus became Flesh and Blood, BUT He is the Creator of the world, the radiance of God’s Glory and the exact representation of God’s Essence / Nature / Being. (Heb 2:9, 14; Heb 1:2-3). C. Only God deserves to Receive glory and because Jesus is God, that’s what He receives. (Isa 42:8; 2 Pet 1:1, 3:18) II. Jesus did what only God can do. A. Calmed the sea. Ps 107:23-30 / Acts 4:35-41. B. Forgave sins. Exod 34:6-7 / Luke 5:18-25. C. Raised the dead. 2 Kings 4:32-36 / John 11:43-44. III. Why did Jesus, who is God, take the Road from Heaven to Earth? A. To Accomplish God’s plans and to keep the Promises He made. (Gen 1:26-28; Gen 12:1-3, 2 Sam 7:16). B. So we could See what God’s like. (John 1:1,14,18) C. To show how much God Loves you.
