THE LEARNING CIRCLE
We believe that the God speaks to us today just as he did in the days of Scripture. As followers of Jesus, our
task is to learn to listen and respond to him.
Kairos Moments are moments that God uses to get our attention about something. The Learning Circle is a
tool that you can use to help you identify what God may be saying to you as well as a concrete next step.
As we cultivate our attentiveness to the voice of God in our lives, we see his power working in and through us.

CONTEXT
As Jesus begins his public ministry in the Gospel of Mark, he proclaims: “The time has come,” he said. “The
kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15)
The word that Jesus uses for time in this passage is kairos, which refers to an event or specially appointed
moment. The idea of the Learning Circle is that when God speaks to us, the faith we are called to is active.
