Canada and the Netherlands: two countries – one spirit To celebrate seventy years of liberation and to honour the sacrifices Canadian soldiers made for our freedom, the Netherlands introduces the Liberation Scholarship Program in 2015. As a token of lasting gratitude and friendship, seventy highly motivated Canadian students with a strong academic background will receive a scholarship to study at a Dutch university (of applied sciences) for 3 to 12 months between 2015-2017. The scholarship comprises: One-off grant to cover international travel and initial costs for your stay in the Netherlands; Tuition fee exemption in the Netherlands; Support from your Dutch host university (housing, visa, etc); Membership of the Liberation Scholarship Program alumni network. • • • • How to apply If you have the Canadian nationality and would like to study for a period of 3 to 12 months in the Netherlands between 2015-2017, apply for a Liberation Scholarship. Apply directly at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions before 1 October 2015.
