Dear ISVEE Delegates – Greetings from Merida, Yucatan, MEXICO!
We received 862 abstracts (144 posters and 718 oral presentations). A
total of 628 delegates (includes 180 students) from 54 countries
submitted 1 to 6 abstracts for oral or poster presentations.
The goal is to select 430/718 abstracts submitted for oral

Organizing Committee of ISVEE 14.
During a house keeping meeting in ISVEE 13 Maastricht 2012, the
ISVEE International Management Committee reached consensus to allow one delegate to
deliver one oral presentation only during ISVEE 14 Yucatan 2015. The purpose is to allow more
delegates to engage in oral presentations, thus having a greater representation of our ISVEE
society in our scientific program (oral platform).
REGISTRATION FEES
The cost of early registration (until 31 July 2015) will be 700 USD for delegates and 350 USD for
students. Regular registration (until 31 October 2015) will be 800 USD for delegates and 400
USD for students. On site registration will be 900 USD for delegates and 450 USD for students.
The on-line registration module will be activated in the next few days

copy of the scientific and social programs, coffee breaks (am, pm), lunch, ISVEE banquet, and
transportation to/from the Convention Center Siglo XXI (21st Century).
WORKSHOPS
A total of 10 pre-symposium workshops http://isvee2015.org/workshops-2/pre-symposiumworkshops-and-dates/ and 16 post-symposium workshops http://isvee2015.org/workshops2/post-symposium-workshops-and-dates/ are being initially considered as part of the ISVEE 14
program. Workshops that meet minimum demand requirements will be approved and offered

to ISVEE Delegates. Registration will open in April 2015. The deadline for workshop participants
to register is 1 July 2015. The last day for workshop organizers to confirm/cancel pre- or postISVEE workshops is 6 July 2015. Participants who are registered in cancelled workshops will
have the option to transfer to another workshop. Participants who paid registration to attend
the ISVEE Symposium and decline to transfer to another workshop will be fully reimbursed the
amount paid to register in the workshop (minus an administrative fee of 43 USD that applies for
the symposium). Registration will remain open for confirmed workshops.
HOTEL INFORMATION
We have identified seven hotels (three to five stars) that you can consider for your stay in
Merida, Yucatan. Three hotels are located in the Hotel Zone (Hyatt Merida, Ibis Merida, and
Fiesta Americana), two more are located on Paseo de Montejo (El Conquistador and Victoria
Merida), and two more are in the historic part of Merida (Caribe Merida and El Castellano).
There are few hotels near the Convention Center Siglo XXI, but we believe you, your family, or
friends will be more comfortable by staying in the three selected locations …near to or in the

Call for proposals to host ISVEE 16 in year 2021
The ISVEE International Management Committee (IMC) is now accepting proposals to host
ISVEE 16 in year 2021. Guidelines for preparation and submission of proposals are included in
