William McDonough Technology and Engineering Education Teacher Leader Masuk High School, Monroe, Connecticut Nominated by Greg Kane Bill started off studying to become an engineer but just prior to completing his program realized he really wanted to be a mathematics teacher. After teaching math for a while and seeing the excitement shown by students for technology and engineering education, Bill became a certified technology education teacher. In addition to teaching robotics, electronic game design, and engineering, Bill serves as President of the Connecticut Technology and Engineering Association, an affiliate of ITEEA. Bill also freely gives back to the profession and will be teaching teachers electronic game design at Central Connecticut State University this summer where he also serves on the advisory committee to the TE teacher preparation program.
