ver since the first houses to big machines, humans have
always tried to find out what makes up everything- the trees,
the flowers, the rivers and of course, the human body. Great old thinkers with great old beards and big old brains gave
many ideas but one which came to be talked about is the idea of
the five great elements. An element is something which makes
up other things and it is believed that everything on this earth
is made up of these five elements- fire, earth, water, air and the
sky. And each element represents not just an outer cover but
also links with the inner soul of any being.
Fire is bright, passionate, creative and gives light. Water is cool,
tranquil and peaceful. Air is fast and swift, it is powerful but
tender. The Earth is humble, quiet, solid and dependable. The
Sky is endless, mysterious and full of imagination. All around
the round world, there are different notions of colour for the
elements but in a broad sense, the colours stand as follows:
Fire being a luminous orange; Earth a prosperous green, Water
a serene blue, Air a pure white and Sky a light blue.
All five have some unique qualities that give them their identities
and each element has something which strikes a chord with the
inner self. So go ahead and realise yourself.
Educational Infrastructure
To keep students in comfortable environs, the
entire building is air-conditioned and so also are
the School buses. Building is designed to provide

A plethora of events & celebrations is planned throughout the year with
the view of exposing students to the best of traditions, festivals, national
& international events, top - notch performers and motivators are going to
regularly visit & interact with our students.
The composite campus of ITM Global School & ITM University is first of
its kind in this part of India where education is provided to all age group
students from play group to post doctoral/research degrees in varied professional areas.
Uniform & Stationary

Parents/ Guardian can purchase minimum two sets of uniform of each
season.
Similarly prescribed Books & other stationary items can be purchased
from the shops.
Technology & Learning Labs
The School has a wealth of software resources
on subjects varying from Literature and Social
Science to Maths and Art.
Students have access to classroom audio, video,
graphics and 3D animation which makes learning
a pleasure. But we, at ITM Global School make
judicious use of technology, not letting it overtake
classroom teaching . We have dedicated
teachers who have a pulse on every student
which cannot be substituted by technology.
We also take special care to see that vocabulary,
hand-writing, book reading do not get swept
away by the winds of hi-tech.
The students will be regularly exposed to the
hightech research labs of different streams of
sciences at ITM University. Eminent faculy from
the University and ITM GOI will be in regular
touch with the staff for upgradation of their skills
and exposure level.
ITM Global School is
committed to integrating
technology into education as
part of its modes of imparting
inputs.
In tune with tech-enabled education, we have
special Smart Board classrooms where classes
are regularly held in an interactive visual
mode. Curriculum based learning material is
uploaded on the net. Parents and students can
track events, photos, assignments class notes,
worksheets, school notices on the net. SMS
facilities are also available to parents. Parents
can also similarly send their queries, suggestions
to the teachers and the management via the
net. The School server maintains a broad band
connection throughout the year enabling the
students to have (monitored) access to the
internet.
Value Education
Children on their birthdays are
encouraged to visit social welfare or
charitable service centres where the
less privileged live. Special nature
walks, excursions to monuments, high tech laboratories & industries
are also organized with parent’s
consent.
Our colourful Ecology Boards provide an early
platform for the children to discover themselves.
Prepared by class teachers with inputs from the
children, they serve as pleasurable and nonthreatening learning centers. For instance, a
nature scene depicting a river coming down from
the settlement crops up on the river bank it is the
beginning of civilization and thereby a history
lesson!
Starting with vocabulary, understanding of
sounds, shapes and colours, acquaintance with
the alphabet and numbers, thinking in sequence,
the teachers guide the young ones to explore
and experiment making sure the child does not
feel overburdened. The toddlers learn to draw
and paint, model with clay, sing, dance, go on
excursions and learn about their environment.
Child size mini musical instruments are provided
to arouse curiosity and interest.
Every year each one of the students in the nursery
class will be given an opportunity of becoming “a
star”. We understand this scheme helps the child
to feel special and unique and made the transition
from pre school smoother and more enjoyable.
The child feels we honour his/her individuality and
that creates better bonding with classmates.
Children are made to feel connected to everything
that goes on in the world by being in school. Every
activity whether it be the Literary or Environment
week, Art exhibitions, Music concerts or the
Science Exhibition filters down to their level with
age-appropriate activity.
Arts
ITM Global School Gwalior will
see top-notch artists musicians,
dancers, ambassadors, industrialists etc to mingle and interact with students & inspire.
Fine Arts give students countless opportunities to discover
and define themselves: through
rehearsing for a play, choreographing a dance, preparing

Crafts etc.
stage sets, creating a painting,
sculpture or even a video of
a memorable event. Our Arts
Centre provides opportunities
for these skills and integrates
them into mainstream learning.
The Arts with their propensity
to develop creativity envisages
linkages with disciplines like
History, Geography, Languages,
Sciences and help enhancing
our understanding of them.
Music is compulsory in the first
seven years of the pupil’s life,
after which, it is offered as an
optional subject. The school
will be having its own orchestra
and its own junior and senior
choir. All the children take part
in group singing which includes
regional songs, inter-faith
prayers and chanting of Spritual hymns. Both Indian and Western classical music lessons are
offered as part of the co-curriculum.
Indian and Western classical
music is played in the foyer
every morning to encourage
students to develop an ear for
music. The morning assembly
begins with prayers followed by
an invocation song. Our music teachers make it a point to
teach songs from different part
of India and also some international favourites, which are
sung during festivals and anniversaries. A special room has
been created for Western Music
and children play a variety of
stringed and percussion instruments.
Each time a poet, artist, dancer
and a musician will come in
ITM University for their performances, he/she will make a
point to visit ITM Global School
to conduct a special workshop
for the best exposure of fine
sensibilities.

Education is not a preparation for life,

Teacher’s Role –
Mentor & Friend
To inspire - to generate excitement
and curiosity for learning.
The teacher’s role is to design learning experiences
& newer methods that help students understanding
concepts and own the knowledge they construct.
The teachers of ITM Global School Gwalior are trained
to share a relationship of love and trust with the children
in their care. Rewards are woven into the fabric of this
relationship so that when either praise or censure
is exercised, the student is conscious that it is fully
deserved. Over a period of time, the pupil becomes
his/her own monitor and explicit discipline becomes
less and less necessary and self appraisal by student
becomes objective.
Teachers are aware that each child learn in different
way and they plan the learning accordingly taking
into account those differences and using a range of
teaching strategies.
Every month all our teachers, both curricular and noncurricular will sit together to review progress of each
child’s targets. These findings, along with the students’
own self-assessment is shared with the parents. Thus,
while introducing hi-tech into the learning process, our
teachers are able to retain their personal rapport with
every child.
Teachers are supposed to constantly reinventing
themselves keeping abreast with the winds of changes
blowing across the world which includes traveling
overseas on exchange programmes. To add to their
efforts, we undertake rigorous and regular Teacher
Training Programmes, under some of the best
educational brains of the country.
In the world of

where knowledge is a

Global Learning
The schools learning philosophy is based on
global learning which is achieved through a
globally acceptable curricula that relate to
people’s place within the wider world, their
relationships with others, their histories, their
present and future. Global learning connects
the local to the global and prepares people to
become a global successful citizens.
The Curriculum and learning activities revolves
around key concepts of the global dimension
i.e. knowledge, skills, values, culture, diversity,
sustainable development & human rights.
We believe that the outcome of the global
curriculum and activities will enable students to
challenge stereotypes, think objectively and apply
the knowledge in practical world.

prompt payment of the school fees and other dues.
