Twenty one years after its creation and its first edition in Paris, the ITS World Congress returns to France. Since 1994, the ITS Congress
has grown phenomenally. More than 3,500 Congress delegates, 300 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors from more than 100 countries, are
expected to come to Bordeaux to exchange, debate and build networks of partnerships during the Congress.

Every day in Bordeaux starts with a breakfast to introduce the
thematic day and the related Executive Sessions (ES), Special
Interest Sessions (SIS), Stakeholder Workshops (SW), High-Level
Technology Summits (HLTS), General Public Sessions (GPS) or
Associated Events (AE).

On the opening day of the Congress, Transport Ministers
worldwide will meet to discuss and promote the
deployment of ITS with a special emphasis on those
achievements that contribute to address climate change.
The Opening Ceremony on Monday will officially introduce
you to the ITS World Congress technical and cultural
programme.
• Plenary Sessions
Major personalities from today’s world of ITS will present
their personal views on key issues:
- Space for intelligent mobility
- ITS delivering societal changes
- From personal connectivity to connected mobility
On Friday the Closing Ceremony will summarise the key
moments of the Congress and the Chief Rapporteur will
present the Conclusions based on inputs by the team of
Rapporteurs from all regions.
Chief Technology and Chief Innovation Officers will
address key mobility advances and will share their vision
for the future and how we attain it:
- The plug-and-play city
- Connected and automated driving
• General Public Sessions (GPS)
These sessions taking place in a dedicated area in the
Exhibition will address the general public, raising
awareness on specific topics on ITS:
- Big Data - the real value of your social media accounts
- Autonomous, driverless vehicles: extending car-sharing
and mobility as a service
- Enhancing mobility and quality of city life, thanks to ITS

Welcome Reception
Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, there will be an Exhibition Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to formally open
the 22nd ITS World Congress. All participants at the Opening Ceremony are invited to the Welcome Reception
which will be held in the Exhibition area.
Bordeaux Wine Festival
Experience some of the greatest Bordeaux and Aquitaine wines of chateaux from 80 regional appellations.
Red, dry white,sweet white and rosé wines accompanied by selected appetizers bringing out the
