Currently our students are actively involved in Track and Field. The students are training hard and we would like to congratulate our students for their hard work and dedication. We would also like to thank our teachers and student teachers that have spent many hours coaching our students on becoming better athletes. Our April Student Leaders are organizing a Vaisakhi pot-luck lunch on Wednesday, April 29. We would like to thank all the parents who have volunteered to help serve and those who are providing food for this special event. Our student leaders have put a lot of work into this endeavor and your assistance is appreciated. Congratulations to the boys and girls who recently participated in two great activities that challenged their minds and skills. We had a group of students attend the Reading Link Challenge and a group who participated in the Math Celebration. It is great to see Jarvis students stretching their skills beyond the school doors! Thank you to the staff who supported them and to the students who put in great effort to participate. Soon, we will be having our Student-Led Conferences. Your child has been working hard and will enjoy the opportunity to show you all the hard work they have been doing this term. Please make sure that you attend this very important conference on Wednesday, May 20. Please also note that dismissal is at 2:00 that day. Thanks! Have a great May! Programs Student Placement for September – Due Friday, May 1 If you have a class placement request to make for your child, please fill in a Student Placement Consideration Form at the office. It is not possible to request specific teachers, but you are welcome to advocate for placement for your child based on his/her learning needs and styles. Although there is no guarantee that we will be able to place your child as per your request, every effort is made to accommodate each child’s individual learning needs. PAC NEWS Just a reminder that the next Jarvis PAC meeting is Wednesday, May 6 at 3:15 pm in the Library. Please come and bring your ideas so we can make Jarvis Traditional an exciting place to learn.
