Ghibaudy Director of Public Relations Jefferson County Clerk’s Office The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office will be Closed Friday, July 4th in Observance of Independence Day LOUISVILLE, KY – The Jefferson County Clerk’s Offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. The Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Automated Vehicle Information System (AVIS) statewide will be shut down. The Deed Room located in Metro Hall will also be closed. ALL MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE BRANCHES WILL BE CLOSED. Normal work hours will resume on Monday at all customer service branch offices from 8:30 AM– 4:30 PM, with extended hours until 6:30 PM on Monday at the Dixie Branch located at the K-Mart Plaza, The East Branch located in the Middletown Plaza and the Highview Branch located at the Beulah Shopping Center.
