The venue is the Boulivot Football, Grouville. The show will open at 8.00am, briefing at 8.45am and judging at 9.00am. We ask that competitors entered in the show offers to help will stay stewarding and Scent Decoys. If you are able to help please speak to the Chief Steward on the day of the show. Please make sure that you pick up after your dogs and take it home with you. Please do not put it in the bins. Help us to keep the venue clean and tidy. Please also note that all dogs should be kept on a lead unless they are in the ring competing or in the designated exercise area. Please keep dogs under close control and supervision at all times Points for Obedience Dog Of The Year will be awarded at this show. Show Catering There will be no onsite catering at the show. Competitors are asked to provide their own refreshments. Prizes Rosettes and place cards: 1st to 6th in all classes and will be awarded after each class. Class C wins at Kennel Club of Jersey licensed shows are not included when assessing eligibility for Class C in the UK. The wins of competitors in all classes at Kennel Club Ltd (UK) licensed shows are included when assessing eligibility for all classes in Jersey. • The Organising Club is responsible for deciding the eligibility of dogs. • Persons disqualified or suspended by the Kennel Club of Jersey or organisations where a reciprocal agreement is held will not be eligible to take part. • Guarantors are not required for events licenced by the Kennel Club of Jersey. • Objections, disqualifications, forfeit of awards & finds will be dealt with by the organising club with Kennel Club of Jersey acting as arbiter, as per the Kennel Club of Jersey Constitution. • The Organising Club is responsible for all matters related to the running of the event, including the appointment of judges. An incident book must be present at all events. • A current Public Liability Insurance Document must be held or the event is deemed as unlicensed. • Dogs must be kept on leads when not competing, unless they are in a designated exercise area which stipulates they are allowed off the lead. • Entry is limited to European residents for the Limit show only on Saturday. The open show on Sunday is open to all. • Not for competition entries will be accepted for dogs aged four calendar months and over. Dogs must be Kennel Club of Jersey or Guernsey Kennel Club registered with their full details recorded on the Entry Form. • Running orders will be available online on www.jerseyjuniordoghandlers.co.uk and will be sent by email to relevant competitors unless a competitor has clearly stated they wish to receive their Running Order by post. • Dogs which have won an Obedience Certificate or obtained any reward that counts towards the title of Obedience Champion under the rules of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club are not eligible for entry at the Limited Show on Saturday. • In the event that the show is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the society will refund fees, less reasonably incurred expenses. If the show processor has the provisions to do so, competitors will be refunded in the manner in which they had entered the show, but in any event the society will refund fees within 3 months of the show date to all those who had entered and requested a refund within 1 month of the show date. • The organising Club agrees to follow The Kennel Club of Jersey Code of Ethics. Welfare of Dogs - An exhibitor (or competitor) whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club of Jersey licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not knowingly put their dogs' health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. A breach of this Regulation may be referred to the States of Jersey Veterinary Surgeon, under the Animal Welfare Law and / or General Committee for disciplinary action under Kennel Club of Jersey Rules and Regulations. Class Definitions A dog must be entered in the lowest scheduled class for which it is eligible and may also be entered in another class if desired. Special pre-beginners: To compete in this special class a handler or dog must not have won a first prize in this class or any other standard obedience class. Heelwork will be done on the lead : recall off lead, no finish : one minute stay on the lead, position of your choice. Pre-beginner: To compete in this class a dog or handler must not have won first place in either prebeginners or any other standard of obedience class. Beginners: To compete in this class a dog or handler must not have won a total of two or more first places in a beginners class or won first place in any other standard obedience class (pre-beginner excepted). Novice: For dogs that have not won two first places in a standard obedience class (pre-beginners and beginners excepted). Class A: For dogs that have not won three first places in class A, B and C in total. Class B: For dogs which have not won three first places in Class B and C in total. Open Class C: Open to all dogs. Limit Class C: Dog that have won a certificates towards a championship C. Rosettes and Place Cards 1st to 6th in all classes. Please note all wins except ‘Class C’ from this event will count in the UK Resident outside the Channel Islands wins do not count Rosettes and Trophies Rosettes 1st to 6th place in all classes. Place cards 1st to 6th place in all classes. Trophy & replica trophy for 1st place in all classes. IMPORTANT NOTES In the event that the show is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the club/society will refund fees, less reasonably incurred expenses within 1 month of the show date. DOGS IN CARS ON HOT DAYS. Your dog is vulnerable and at risk if left in a Vehicle in high temperatures and even on days considered slightly warm. Please take care of your dog. If your dog is found to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused. WELFARE OF DOGS. An exhibitor, (or competitor) whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club of Jersey Licensed event, should take all responsible steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met and should not knowingly put their dogs health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. A breach of this regulation will be referred to the Kennel Club of Jersey who may refer it to the General Committee for disciplinary action under UK Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. The use of a toy or food as an incentive in the ring between, or during exercises, is prohibited. Use of mobile phones, clickers and squeaky toys is prohibited around the ring areas.
