Centre for Communications Impact (CCI, trading as JHHESA), is looking for a Provincial Program
Manager (one for KZN and one for Mpumalanga province) to manage and support communities to
develop, implement, monitor and evaluate evidenced based, relevant and appropriate social and
behavioral community programs that will result in the improved health and well-being of their
communities
Key Outputs
• There is a detailed work plan and supporting budget for the targeted audiences assigned
that is aligned with the unit’s work plan and budget and supports the unit and the
organization’s strategic objectives
•
High quality, evidence based community programs that are compliant and meet best
practice standards are in place that responds to the identified community needs and target
audiences in a timely, cost effective and impactful manner in line with the unit work plan
•
Have regularly and effectively engaged with director of community programs, and the
relevant program stakeholders at provincial, district and community levels to identify their
needs and opportunities for partnerships
•
Have timeously and accurately monitored progress and provided feedback on program
implementation through internal feedback mechanisms and systems to communities and
stakeholders
•
Have successfully facilitated the independent evaluation of the program within targeted
communities and shared and integrated findings with stakeholders and communities
•
Documented and shared program lessons learnt and achievements to contribute positively
to the evidence base of effective community models and approaches
•
The team is motivated and have the competencies (knowledge, skills, attitudes & values)
needed to deliver on the job’s purpose are in place and being continuously improved
•
In the interest of doing no harm to communities, CCI and the environment have complied to
and supported CCI’s policies and procedures,
•
Contributed to the community program unit through active and regular engagement in
achieving its purpose and strategic objectives
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree in one of the following: Development, Social Sciences, Social and
Behavioral Communication, Public Health or other relevant field of study
•
At least 7-10 years relevant experience
•
Computer literacy with emphasis on Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
•
A valid driver’s license
•
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
•
Good organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
