PESTS: Aphids (green,
yellow, black, sometimes
orange & even woolly)
damage plants by sucking
essential juices from them.
Many times aphids are
accompanied by their favorite
sidekicks, whitefly. Rid
yourself of these pests by 1st
giving plants a forceful blast
with your garden hose. Then
use ladybugs from Orcon to
finish the job!
Aphids are
ladybugs’ favorite food &
they’ll polish off whitefly as
well. They find mites, thrips,
and scale tasty too! Another
non-toxic way to stay on top
of whitefly is to hang Safer
Sticky Whitefly
traps. They also
attract leaf miners,
thrips, gnats & fruit
flies.
*Two other effective, nontoxic alternatives for aphid &
whitefly eradication (as well
as many other pests) are
Insecticidal Soap & Dr. Earth
Insect Sprays.
*Continue checking for
slugs & snails. We
recommend SLUGGO
a unique blend of iron
phosphate & bait
additives that enrich
the soil as it effectively rids
your garden of slugs & snails.
AND it’s non-toxic, kid &
pet friendly! For additional
organic pest protection, use
SLUGGO Plus 2.5# or
Bonide Bug & Snail 1#,
for earwigs, sowbugs, &
cutworms. Both are 20% off
through April 30.
As we celebrate our 9th
year in business, we want to
thank all of you for your
continued support.
WE WOULD NOT BE
HERE WITHOUT YOU!
